A Sign of Desperation
Mr. Nenshi is going for A DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO STAY IN POWER BY USING FAKED NEWS AND IMITATING MY WEBSITE AND PLATFORM
Imitation, but no substance.
Mr. Nenshi has always said that his tax break for this year (2017) is only one time deal. After I announced and posted on my website that based on my experience as a professional manager I will extend this break for another year to assure a smooth transition from a broken and disappointing system to laying down the foundation to a new workable system, now he is copying my plan?
At the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (CCVO) forum on Sept.27, 2017, Mr. Nenshi argued that there is no letter from him asking for extra taxation power.
As reported in Calgary Sun:
“But Mayor Nenshi persists in talking about new taxing powers for cities”
As reported in Calgary Herald
“Finance Minister Joe Ceci says he won’t prejudge discussions on new taxing powers for Calgary and Edmonton as he takes over the responsibility for city charters.”
MEDIA RELEASE – Ask for New Tax Powers “Out of Touch”
December 14, 2016
CALGARY, AB: The See Charter, Think Tax coalition is calling for a reality check for the mayors of Calgary and Edmonton after they signed a letter asking for more tax powers on Tuesday.
The so called front-runners?
Two of them are copying, on their websites, parts of my platform which was posted online long before theirs.
